Welcome to House Kheperu!
| | House Kheperu is an eclectic spiritual society dedicated to balance, education, and transformation. We see ourselves as a wisdom tradition, and our function in the community is to research and safeguard metaphysical knowledge as well as to pass this on to those who may benefit from it.
Our teachings are not reserved exclusively for our membership, and there is no need to join the House simply because you want to learn from us.
As we are a wisdom tradition, we feel it is our duty to share what we know. This website is just one of the methods we use to share our knowledge, and we offer it freely to all.
As you use this resource, please do not make the mistake of assuming that ours is the “only right way”. There are many different perspectives on magick, metaphysics, and energy work. Ours is just one.
Metaphysics is a vast and complicated subject, and you need to approach your research as objectively as possible. We have yet to encounter a system that has all the answers, and that includes the one presented on this site. We acknowledge our limitations, and you should be aware of this: everything you will read here is a working hypothesis, and as we gain more insight or new information, some things may be changed. We are the House of Transformation, after all, and that means that we don’t pick one doctrine and get stuck in it. Our beliefs and our teachings grow, evolve, and adapt over time, as we feel everything should.
Go through the site, read, and enjoy what you find here. Compare our ideas to your own beliefs and experiences, and decide what is right for you. You may agree with everything here, and you may agree with nothing at all. Above all, we ask that you seek your own truth, then have the wisdom to know it when it is found.

on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 - 01:55 PM :: Posted by: Admin :: 7621 Reads As the credit card commercials tell us, "Life comes at you fast."
The fast pace of life has meant that very few updates have been posted to this site over the past year. You will find a new article on vampire ritual in the ritual section, however, just posted today, and there will be a few more postings over the next few weeks. Also look for updates to the site as a whole. I'm sure you've noticed that intermittently the site goes down -- this is a counter problem, and once the thing rolls over, the site crashes. While we're tickled that so many people visit this site to roll the counter over weekly, the subsequent crash issue needs to be fixed.
More updateness later.

on Friday, March 30, 2007 - 09:53 PM :: Posted by: Admin :: 5081 Reads House Kheperu has made a decision that will allow those who are not directly involved in the House to formally follow the Kheprian path, if they so choose. Many of you have asked permission to affiliate yourselves with us, either as individuals or as groups, and this landmark decision will tell you how. |

on Friday, May 26, 2006 - 03:17 PM :: Posted by: Camille :: 2769 Reads A couple of announcements:
1. The Online Codex is now up on the site. This is the edition hosted on Sacred Texts and is quite different from The Psychic Vampire Codex published by Weiser. The section can be located Here.
2. The website has another new section of articles – Dreamwalking. Inside it are several articles which are sections clipped from “Psychic Dreamwalking: Explorations at the Edge of Self” which will be released by Weiser in Fall 2006, and is an expansion on the dreamwalking material that first appears in the Codex.
3. There has been a change in the application process. Please read the rest of the article if you are interested in the change.
4. Comments have been disabled on the site. People wishing to discuss articles on the site are asked to do so on the Forums.
Additional information on each of these is included in the expanded article.

on Sunday, January 01, 2006 - 10:14 PM :: Posted by: Camille :: 2005 Reads Well, as is probably immediately obvious, we've done a fairly major revision on the look of the website. All the same content is still available, and with the exception of a few very minor tweaks, it's all organized pretty much the same way.
Forum Readers may also have noticed some very minor changes there as well – the site logo has changed, and inbox size has been increased from 50 to 100.
This is all in addition to the 7 new articles (5 by Michelle and 2 Guest articles - one by each Sappho and Giltwist) which have been put up.
Also, I would like to ask that site members submit FAQ Questions which have not been covered. I'm hoping to expand that section beyond what has already been done with it.
I'd like to thank everyone very much for the time you have spent reading the site, and wish you all a wonderful upcoming year.

In October 2000, House Kheperu hosted a weekend gathering that featured presentations, workshops and panel discussions of interest to the community. About forty people attended that first Open House, and we had a blast that weekend. Community response was so positive, that we decided to make the event a regular thing, and we've hosted these Open Houses ever since. |

on Thursday, December 29, 2005 - 03:16 PM :: Posted by: Admin :: 2199 Reads To kick off the New Year, we've made some additions to the site. Several of these are articles excerpted from my forthcoming work, The Psychic Energy Book which -- sadly -- won't be out on the shelves until this time next year.
However, there are all kinds of goodies to be shared in the mean time. Including A Brief History of the Aura, The Balancing Act: Awakening Psi-Vamps and Feeding, The Subtle Body in an Historical Context, as well as Issues of Subtle Body Anatomy.
For those interested in a uniquely Kheprian approach to subtle body anatomy, don't miss A Kheprian Map of the Chakras, an image file that illustrates our approach to the chakras.
Happy 2006!
